Quintessence is a casual web game built around the established gameplay from Triad, but including play modes and control methods. The game takes a new direction from Triad in both design and and art. Quintessence breaks out of Triad's arcade control system provides to the user different means to play the game. This includes a game mode which the player can grab pieces from inside the pit itself. This project was submitted to the 2005 IGF in the student section.

This was a senior undergraduate presentation made at a state conference for undergraduate research. The work presented here covers the work done on Endless Battles, Triad, Cow Wranglers, and Triad 1.5. This work would be the foundation for Quintessence. This Conference took place in April, 2003.
